Teddy reached into the small purse he kept around his waist and counted out a few silver coins. He didn't have to offer the other man money. There were other things Teddy could barter with but he doubted the man would be interested. Money seemed more reasonable.

"It's not much," he said, holding his hand out. "But it might get you a bed in the next town. Better than roughing it."
